Putting The 'Care' Into Long-Term Care Insurance

Long-term care insurance is the financial equivalent of doing push-ups -- it's good for you, but not too much fun.

As a result, not many people buy long-term care insurance, which pays for care when they get too old or sick to take care of their basic needs like cooking or bathing. The insurance is expensive, and most people hope they will never need it or that their children or other family members will look after them instead.
