The business website Associations Now cited The American Journal of Managed Care (AJMC) in its coverage of the new recommendations on exercise and physical activity from the American Diabetes Association (ADA). Our coverage listed a group of recent studies linking sedentary behavior and poor health outcomes that have preceded the ADA recommendations that people with type 2 diabetes move at least once every 30 minutes during the work day.
Becker’s Spine Report cited AJMC’s coverage of a CMS investigation, which found 46% of physician listings in Medicare Advantage directories include at least 1 piece of incorrect information. Penalties for inaccurate data could be as much as $25,000 per beneficiary, due to 2016 regulations that require Medicare Advantage plans to contact providers every 3 months to confirm listings and update new information.
