An article from Fierce Healthcare referenced a study published in the August 2024 issue of The American Journal of Managed Care®. The article, “Medicare Advantage Customer Service Is Used Most by Higher-Need Patients,” found that customer service for Medicare Advantage supported a less healthy population that had bigger barriers to health care, leading the researchers to conclude that customer service should be staffed to address these patients’ needs.
