An article by Managed Healthcare Executive referenced a study published in the October 2021 issue of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The study, “Comparison of the Use of Top-Ranked Cancer Hospitals Between Medicare Advantage and Traditional Medicare,” concluded that enrollees in Medicare Advantage had restricted access to top-ranked hospitals for treatment of complex cancer compared with enrollees in traditional Medicare.
A piece by HealthCentral referenced a study published in the March 2016 issue of AJMC. The study, “Understanding Vaccination Rates and Attitudes Among Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis,” found that a moderate rate of previous pneumococcal vaccination (54%) and a very low rate of herpes zoster vaccination (8%) were self-reported by patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
