Article

The National Association of Accountable Care Organizations (NAACOS) has submitted commented to CMS in response to the proposed International Pricing Index Model for Medicare Part B Drugs.

The National Association of Accountable Care Organizations (NAACOS) has submitted commented to CMS in response to the proposed International Pricing Index Model for Medicare Part B Drugs. Writing to CMS Administrator Seema Verma, the association said they appreciate CMS' efforts to lower drug prices as Medicare Part B drug spending has increased approximately 10% each year since 2011.

However, they also write that the proposal includes a number of unanswered questions about how the proposed model affects ACOs, which must be addressed before moving forward. They include recommendations on how CMS can address Part B drug costs while working with the Medicare Shared Savings Program and other ACO programs. Read the full comments and recommendations.
