NAACOS Comments on Proposed MSSP Rule, Findings From ACO Poll

According to a new survey of accountable care organizations (ACOs), 60% said they would have been unlikely to have entered the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) under CMS' proposed changes, the National Association of ACOs (NAACOS) acocunced. NAACOS also submitted a 39-page comment letter to CMS regarding the proposed MSSP overhaul.

According to a new survey of accountable care organizations (ACOs), 60% said they would have been unlikely to have entered the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) under CMS' proposed changes, the National Association of ACOs (NAACOS) acocunced. While NAACOS voiced support of some of the proposed changes, they voiced concerns over others, including reducing the shared savings rate from 50% to 25% for ACOs in shared savings only or low-risk models.

In a 39-page comment letter to CMS, NAACOS urged the agency to make a number of changes to their proposed overhaul of MSSP. Read more results from the survey and from NAACOS' comments to CMS here.
