NAACOS, 8 Other Organizations Urge CMS to Ensure Continued Success of ACO Program

The National Association of Accountable Care Organizations (NAACOS) joined 8 other organizations in writing to CMS Administrator Seema Verma regarding the proposed rule for the Medicare Shared Savings Program.

The National Association of Accountable Care Organizations (NAACOS) joined 8 other organizations in writing to CMS Administrator Seema Verma regarding the proposed rule for the Medicare Shared Savings Program.

The organizations praised CMS on the proposed rule, saying that “Pathways to Success” would generate positive changes and includes previously recommended improvements. However, they also voiced concerns over CMS’ proposals to reduce the time new ACOs have in upside only models from 6 years to 2 years.
