Dr. Noel G. Boyle, Professor of Medicine, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, also serves as Director of the Cardiac EP Labs at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. In this segment, he discusses the importance of stroke prevention in the management of atrial fibrillation, and the pros and cons of warfarin.

In addition, Dr. Boyles talks about patients' poor adherence to warfarin due to frequent monitoring, the need for simple and effective treatment solutions for atrial fibrillation, as well as the large amount of strokes attributed to atrial fibrillation.
