Coexisting COPD Increases Mortality in Patients With More Severe Asthma
July 24th 2020The health burden of comorbid chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma is known to be greater than when either condition exists on its own. An upcoming study shows that COPD is linked with greater all-cause mortality and greater risk of mortality in patients with coexisting asthma who also had long-term use of corticosteroids.
