In this video, Robin Gelburd, President, FAIR Health, says that cost transparency has been well received by consumers. Consumers are being asked to take on more control of the costs with their health plans. It is important for them to understand what the out-of-pocket costs will be. Consumers should have the tools to evaluate opportunities they have, for instance, with benefit designs offered by their employers.
"It's an exciting time for consumers and hopefully they will embrace these tools as they become more available through the web and through various of other media," said Gelburd.
