Dr Cosgrove also discusses new payment models, citing physician and hospital reimbursement as a major concern. Because many providers will be paid less, they will have to reduce the costs of delivering care. Two possible ways: (1) keeping the patient population healthier, and (2) making the healthcare delivery system more efficient.
