Further, 168,000 of these deaths were associated with smoking, and nearly 80% were due to cancers of the lungs, trachea, or bronchus. Other cancers that saw a rise in smoking-related deaths included those of the oral cavity, esophagus, uriniary bladder, colon, kidney, liver, pancreas, stomach, and cervix.
