John Glaser, PhD, chief executive officer, Health Services, Siemens Healthcare, says that healthcare is going through a transformation based on payment reform changes. Without sophisticated analytics, providers would not be able to understand whether the care they deliver is safe or efficient.
"One needs analytics to managed those processes of care which, at the end of the day, form the lifeblood of the provider organization," said Dr Glaser.
