Dr. Merle C. Turner, Medical Director of Warner Family Practice in Chandler, Arizona, discusses his perspective on the benefits of the CORUS CAD genomic test in determining whether or not a patient with chronic chest pain needs to be referred to a cardiologist.
Dr. Turner explains that when a patient with symptomatic chronic chest pain has a low score, the pain's origin is not of a cardiac nature, so a referral to a cardiologist is unnecessary.
