Transcript:

How can migraine education, specifically in the workplace, help increase employee productivity?

Well, 1 thing that employers can do is offer a workplace-based migraine education program. We [American Express] offered one several years ago, and several times subsequently. Initially, 500 employees signed up for it and eventually we had over 1500 employees complete the program.

The program educated employees on evidence-based treatment, what employees can do to better control their migraine—such as identifying triggers–and a number of other educational things that employees can do to better control their migraines. So, I firmly encourage employers to offer work-based programs to address migraine headache.
