Do patients with MS face elevated risk for cardiovascular disease?
It’s still a topic that deserves some research on its own, I would say, but there’s a lot of older articles showing that there's an increased risk of cardiovascular disease generally in MS patients. Not a huge amount, but a slightly increased risk. I think it's time to return to those studies to be honest, but that wasn't really a focus of my study. We were looking at the different disease-modifying therapies and how they might alter that risk.
