Do large employers see value in participating in the Oncology Care Model?

I don’t think that there’s a high degree of familiarity with the concept of OCM with large employers just yet. I think that because it’s primarily been a Medicare effort up until the last couple of months. But that being said, they are very supportive and see that there’s a lot of value in the oncology medical home concept, and there’s such a high degree of overlap between the oncology medical home and the OCM that I think it’s just a matter of a short amount of time before employers will become really familiar with the concept of the Oncology Care Model.

The key goals and the practice changes that are made because of the Oncology Care Model really are in sync with the concerns that employers have about patient navigation, care coordination, evidence-based best practice. So I think the long and short of it is that employers will see a lot of value, in my opinion, of the Oncology Care Model.
