Dr. Jove Graham, Research Investigator I, Geisinger Center for Health Research, Danville, PA, discusses the Post-Discharge Monitoring and Readmissions study. In this segment, Dr. Graham talks about how Geisinger’s automated system works to overcome patient participation and compliance issues.
After discharge, patients only had to take one phone call a week during a four week period. The study did not require intensive participation by the patients aiding in its success.
