Community Oncology Alliance (COA) has submitted formal comments to CMS Administrator Seema Verma on the 2019 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule.

The Community Oncology Alliance (COA) has submitted formal comments to CMS Administrator Seema Verma on the 2019 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule. The comments center around the proposed cut payments for evaluation and management services, chemotherapy infusion administration, and modifier codes that allow patients with cancer to decrease the amount of visits to their oncologists.

While COA commends CMS for their effort to reduce paperwork and documentation requirements, they believe these proposed changes will have little impact on paperwork and significant impact on patient care and practice operations.
