After the CDC’s conference on climate change and health was abruptly canceled, former Vice President Al Gore revived the meeting in a shortened format. Georges C. Benjamin, MD, executive director of the American Public Health Association, was also involved with putting on the replacement meeting, which was held in Atlanta, Georgia.
