A study published in the January issue of The American Journal of Managed Care^® (AJMC^®) highlighted the need to move away from state-based medical licensure and described the policy, technological, and administrative changes necessary for implementing portable medical licensure. The study, “Eliminating Barriers to Virtual Care: Implementing Portable Medical Licensure,” was highlighted in an article by mHealthIntelligence.

RevCycle Intelligence’s article on HHS’ endorsement of alternative payment models for emergency medicine referenced a study from the 2016 AJMC^® August issue titled “Aligning Payment Reform and Delivery Innovation in Emergency Care,” which described how HHS’ payment taxonomy framework to acute scheduled care supports delivery innovation.

An article posted on State of Reform, which described how to make the most of one’s state health database, highlighted “Precision Medicine and Sharing Medical Data in Real Time: Opportunities and Barriers,” which published in the 2018 AJMC^® August issue. The study spoke of the vital necessity of facilitating real-time data sharing while protecting individual privacy, reducing the risk of data misuse, and enhancing public trust to continue innovations in precision medicine.

RamaOnHealthcare’s featured top healthcare insights and news headlines of October 22, 2019, included an article posted on AJMC.com titled, “Healthcare 2020: A Detailed Report on the Clinical and Financial Aspects of Emerging Value-Based Payment Models.” The article provided an analysis derived from Innovaccer’s state of the union report of multiple payment modes speculating care delivery for the 2020s.
