An article from Modern Healthcare referenced a study published in the November 2023 issue of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The article, “Medicare Advantage in Rural Areas: Implications for Hospital Sustainability,” shows that Medicare Advantage was associated with greater hospital sustainability in rural areas as penetration grew from 2008 to 2019.
