An article in Healthcare Informatics surrounding data breaches included a study published in The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The study, “Data Breach Locations, Types, and Associated Characteristics Among US Hospitals,” found that, of all types of healthcare providers, hospitals accounted for approximately one-third of all data breaches, and paper and films were the most frequent mode or location of data breaches.
Markets Insider, a branch of Business Insider, included an AJMC®-published study, “Personalized Preventive Care Leads to Significant Reductions in Hospital Utilization,” in its article on a new MDVIP-affiliated primary care practice. The study assessed the impact of the MDVIP personalized preventive care model on hospitalization use and found that the MDVIP members’ rates were substantially lower than nonmembers’.
America's Health Insurance Plans' Monday Accountable Care SmartBrief included an article from AJMC® on Aledade and Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey forming an accountable care organization (ACO). The article, “Aledade, Horizon to Reach NJ Primary Care Practices in New ACO,” reported that the ACO will serve 20,000 patients and represents Aledade’s first commercial contract in New Jersey.
