The commentary, “Prior Authorizations and the Adverse Impact on Continuity of Care,” focused on how the current process for prior authorizations can have negative impacts on patient care, which has led to practices switching to a cash-only business model.

An article from Newsweek referenced an article published on AJMC.com, the website of AJMC. The article, “Semaglutide Linked to Lower Dementia Risk in Type 2 Diabetes,” covered the results of a study that found that semaglutide significantly reduced the risk of Alzheimer disease–related dementia when compared with insulin, metformin, and other forms of medication for patients with type 2 diabetes.

An article from AJMC.com titled “Accelerating Drug Discovery With AI for More Effective Treatments,” was referenced in an article from Technology Networks. The AJMC.com article focused on how artificial intelligence can accelerate drug development, reduce costs, and improve treatment efficacy, although hurdles to its use remain prevalent.

An article from The Cool Down referenced an article published on AJMC.com. The article, “Health Risks of Microplastics Highlighted at Recent Medical Conferences,” gave an overview of sessions conducted at both the 2025 American College of Cardiology Annual Scientific Session and the 2025 American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting that featured talks on the effects of microplastic exposure on human health.
