An article by Physician's Weekly cited a study published online ahead of print in the April 2023 issue of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The study, “Older Adults’ Perspectives on Emergency Department Costs During COVID-19,” indicated that most older US adults have concerns about emergency department visit affordability, with findings showing that lower income, being uninsured, poor or fair physical/mental health, and younger age were associated with increased concerns.
A piece by mHealth Intelligence referenced a study published in the January 2022 issue of AJMC®, titled “Addressing Virtual Care Disparities for Patients With Limited English Proficiency.” The study provided recommendations to address disparities for patients with limited English proficiency amid the increased use of virtual care due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The article, “How Biogen’s Aduhelm Approval Marks a Precipitous Turning Point for the FDA,” provided coverage surrounding the approval of Biogen's Alzheimer disease drug aducanumab (Aduhelm) and how related controversies not only call into question the independent nature of the FDA, but puts both providers and patients in a challenging position when it comes to deciding whether or not to prescribe or take the treatment.
