The study, “Utilization Management and Physician Burnout,” found that utilization management requirements were detrimental to both physicians and patient care while also contributing to burnout in physicians.
The study entitled, “Physician Assistants/Associates at 6 Decades,” published in the November 2021 issue of AJMC, was referenced in an article from Healthcare Brew. The study found that the graduation rate for physician assistants is increasing, with 277 accredited programs in the US and 11,000 physician assistants graduating in 2021.

The article, “Trump Reverses Some Biden Drug Pricing Initiatives, Potentially Impacting Medicare Costs,” explained the effect of President Donald Trump’s executive order reversing Biden-era policies on both drug costs and the Affordable Care Act.
