An article by the American Action Forum referenced a study published in the July 2021 issue of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®), titled “Large Self-insured Employers Lack Power to Effectively Negotiate Hospital Prices.” In the study, authors examined the ability of self-insured employers to negotiate hospital prices, with findings showing low market power of employers in most metropolitan areas.

The article, “CDC Warns That COVID-19 Is Likely Headed Toward Pandemic Stage, Could Affect US Schools, Businesses,” covered briefings by the CDC and HHS on the emerging threat of COVID-19 during the early days of the pandemic in February 2020.
An article by PatientEngagementHIT referenced a study published in the April 2017 issue of AJMC®, titled “Patients' Preferences for Receiving Laboratory Test Results.” The study indicated that the main reason for patients wanting to receive laboratory test results online was time savings, followed by lowering the chance of missing the results.
