PLAINSBORO, N.J.—Quality measurement has become increasingly important as healthcare in the United States shifts from a volume-based reimbursement system to one based on value. On June 26 at 1 pm EST, The American Journal of Managed Care (AJMC) will host a Tweetchat with National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) President Margaret E. O’Kane, MHA, on the importance of quality measurement.
O’Kane will answer questions from participants and discuss topics including:
“It’s an exciting time in healthcare quality,” said O’Kane. “With so many opportunities to enhance the value of healthcare, this Tweetchat gives us a chance to take a moment and discuss some of the key topics that will influence the conversation in the coming years.”
AJMC and NCQA encourage Twitter users to submit their own questions and participate in the chat on Friday by using #AJMCchat. And don’t forget to follow @AJMC_Journal, @NCQA, and @PeggyNCQA.
In February, O’Kane wrote a special guest commentary for AJMC on how the inclusion of measurement and accountability in US healthcare has improved both cost and quality.
