This study compares health care costs and health services utilization patterns of patients receiving care in accountable care organization (ACO), patient-centered medical home (PCMH), hybrid (ACO + PCMH), and standard (neither ACO/PCMH) facilities.

We present the first reported national trends in the adoption of electronic prescription of controlled substances, from July 2012 to December 2013. The results show that the uptake rates of this newly allowed process are steadily increasing.

Using nationally representative transactional e-prescribing data, this study describes the trends of e-prescribing adoption by providers and pharmacies.
